Ex Highland Railway Small Ben Class 4-4-0 No.14413 Ben Alligan acting as pilot at Blair Atholl Station, photographed circa 1924.
The train locomotive is an ex Highland Railway Cummings 3P Class 2-6-0, either No.14522 Snaigow or No.14523 Durn.
No.14413 was built at Lochgorm in 1901 as Highland Railway No.17 and withdrawn in December 1933. The two Cummings 3P locomotives were built by Hawthorn Leslie & Co. in 1916 and withdrawn in 1936.
